Wake window & nap schedule

A wake window is how long your baby can stay happily awake between sleeps. Here is a sample day built from typical windows for your baby's age.

Typical wake window for 3–4 months: 75–120 minutes, about 4 naps a day.

  1. Wake up7:00 AM
  2. Nap 18:38 AM – 9:23 AM
  3. Nap 211:00 AM – 11:45 AM
  4. Nap 31:23 PM – 2:08 PM
  5. Nap 43:45 PM – 4:30 PM
  6. Bedtime6:30 PM

Use this as a starting point, not a rule. Watch for sleepy cues like yawning, rubbing eyes or looking away, and adjust by 15 minutes at a time. Newborns often sleep on no pattern at all, and that's normal.
